KALEIDO, IDEAS&LOGISTICS PARTICIPATED IN THE BUSINESS FORUM ANGOLA-SPAIN

The CEO of KALEIDO, Ideas & Logistics, Xoán Martínez, attended last Tuesday, May 6, the inauguration of the Business Forum between Angola and Spain held in Luanda on 6th and 7th of this month. As part of this event, the Minister of Economy of Angola, Abrahão Gourgel, said the Angolan market is open to Spanish entrepreneurs and took the advantage to invite big companies in Spain to operate more actively in the African country.

In this sense, Gourgel pointed to the “necessary conditions” that have both Angola and Spain to turn around its economic relations because there is politic will. At the same time, he said that Spain has the support of the Angolan executive to execute various investments in the sectors of Transport, Energy, Water, Industry and Trade, since these “help to accelerate the country's development program.”

KALEIDO began his venture in Angola back in 2005 with its own structure, and has since developed an investment strategy and management of logistics projects in the five major ports of the country.

Over 300 Angolan and Spanish companies participated in this meeting which aimed to strengthen existing trade relations between the two countries. Angola is the Spanish third most important partner in sub-Saharan Africa by the value of its exports. In 2013 Spain imported from Angola goods and services worth 368 million euros.
