ROCKETSPACE AND KALEIDO SELECT STARTUPS FOR LOGISTICS TECH ACCELERATOR

RocketSpace and Kaleido Logistics announced a new cohort of startups for its Logistics Tech Accelerator, which kicks off next month in Vigo, Spain. The selected startups will join RocketSpace, Kaleido, Fiege, Ingram Micro, Lufthansa Cargo and MAN Truck & Bus to rethink logistics and work toward commercially viable products. The Logistics Tech Accelerator uses an open innovation, pilot-led model to draw from the diverse expertise of multiple corporate collaborators, startups and industry mentors.

Startups represent emerging tech themes – Smart Warehouse, Smart Transport and Smart Commerce & Trade – and were selected based on their team, product/service maturity, corporate partnership potential and accelerator fit. Unlike early-stage accelerators, the Logistics Tech Accelerator helps funded startups, with a product in market or ready to launch, scale their solutions by collaborating with others in the industry.

“After a fantastic Cohort I experience full of fascinating challenges, we are looking forward to working together with the selected startups to keep on disrupting the industry,” said Xoán Martínez, Kaleido CEO. “Stunning technologies ready to go to market and the incorporation of new corporate collaborators to the program are giving us all the chance to open a new stage of logistics.”

The selected startups are:

Equivvy (Amsterdam, Netherlands) is Easy Equipment Rental & Sharing platform for the Supply Chain Industry.

GetVu (Bengaluru, India) uses Augmented Reality technology to streamline supply chain processes offering more accessibility to real time data, optimized workflows and improved automation of manual processes.

IAM Robotics (Pittsburgh, USA) makes autonomous mobile robots to handle materials in logistics and manufacturing.

Mycargorates (Cologne, Germany) is an online transport management system and booking portal in digitizing logistics.

OBUU (Madrid, Spain) is an advanced stock optimisation software that uses state of the art innovation technology to shape your stock to the most optimum level, fully customised to your fleet and capable of modelling future scenarios for strategic analysis.

Optiply (Amsterdam, Netherlands) is building the first fully automated inventory optimization solution for e-commerce.

Sennder (Berlin, Germany) is same-day logistics.

Stowga (London, UK) is Warehousing as a Service.

Trackersense (London, UK) develops and deploys parcel delivery and asset tracking technology to drive supply chain efficiencies worldwide.

Undagrid (Amsterdam, Netherlands) optimizes logistical processes and creates new services around (non-powered) assets, via an autonomous communication network in combination with an innovative sensor & tracking technology.

“There is a global opportunity to revolutionize order fulfillment in warehouses with autonomous robotics and the addressable market continues to grow rapidly,” said Tom Galluzzo, CEO at IAM Robotics. “Joining the Logistics Tech Accelerator is a great opportunity to explore and experiment with a diverse group of industry leaders, opening the door for new applications of our technology and potential long-term partnerships. As a startup, speed is critical. This program gives us the access and focus needed to keep accelerating our growth.”

Among other program benefits, startups gain brand awareness and are able to validate their product through pilot-testing with multiple global corporations. MAN Truck & Bus and Fiege are the program’s newest corporate collaborators, joining Lufthansa Cargo, Ingram Micro and founding corporate collaborator – Kaleido. RocketSpace, who is known for helping tech startups scale their business, will help selected startups and leading corporations come together to fuel cross-industry partnerships. Executives from Shyp, Peloton Technologies and British Airways among other respected brands will serve as program mentors.

Early next month, startups start a four-week curriculum exploring the key business objectives and roadmaps of the corporate program collaborators. Following the curriculum phase, the startups and corporate collaborators will hold one-on-one meetings to create individual pilot scopes and launch into the product validation stage of the program. The program will wrap up with a final public demo day in May, where participants will unveil a go-to-market solution.
