INCLINA

KALEIDO WORKS ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF A SOLUTION TO IMPROVE SECURITY WHEN LIFTING AND HANDLING CARGO

THIS IS A MONITORING SYSTEM THAT WILL COLLECT ALL THE DATA IN REAL TIME IN ORDER TO HAVE A MORE EXHAUSTIVE CONTROL DURING THE LIFTING PROCEDURE

The INCLINA project (TILT CONTROL DEVICE IN TANDEM OPERATIONS) is intended to get a tool to coordinate and to improve, in a visual way, the lifting operations in TANDEM. With the implementation of this project we will get:    
1.     A reduction of the execution time and its costs
2.     Added safety in lifting and handling procedures
3.     Better quality of the procedure and less requirements of specific equipment
The system will respond to a market demand of the cranes users sector. It will allow not only to reduce the execution time but also to reduce their fuel consumption and therefore the CO2 output. At the same time, this solution will enable all the operators to receive real harmonised registered information concerning the operating tasks, it will reduce as well the number of incidents and will facilitate the analyses of the casualties.
This project has been supported by CDTI (Spanish Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology), and the European Regional Development fund ERDF, within the Smart growth ERDF 2014-20 Operational Programme.

CEAGA

KALEIDO CONSOLIDATES ITS COMMITMENT WITH INDUSTRY 4.0

THE CEAGA’S DEMONSTRATIVE PROJECT, OF WHICH KALEIDO IS A PART, AWARDED

Created with the aim of supporting, promoting and raising awareness of the transition of Galician automotive to Industry 4.0, this project brings 12 companies together, proving the heterogeneous nature of the Cluster, and representing the entire value chain of Galician automotive. It counts moreover on the participation of the Automotive Technology Centre of Galicia and other players involved in the sector as service providers 4.0.

In particular, KALEIDO’S pilot project will develop a new storage module integrated with physical robotics, the warehouse management systems will be adapted and a management information SOA platform will be developed. A telecontrol and monitoring system of the energy facilities will be set up, which will minimize considerably the processing time.

This project is supported by IGAPE (GALICIAN INSTITUTE FOR ECONOMIC PROMOTION), Xunta de Galicia, and the European Regional Development fund ERDF, within the Technological Fund Operational Programme 2014-2020.


SWIRL

KALEIDO IS ACTIVELY INVOLVED IN A PROJECT AIMING FOR COSTS REDUCTION IN THE OFFSHORE ENERGY GENERATION

THROUGH THE DEVELOPMENT OF A MODULAR OCEANIC PLATFORM THAT WILL PROVIDE SOLUTIONS TO THE MARKET CHALLENGES

The main objective of SWIRL project (Modular oceanic platform and multifunctional advanced systems for offshore operations -ITC-20151239) is the design, development and validation of a platform integrating different technologies to deal with the offshore market needs, allowing a great flexibility when competing for contracts in the offshore installation, maintenance and operation market.

The intention it to take advantage of the existing knowledge of industries such as shipbuilding, onshore wind and auxiliary industries in order to reactivate to a large extent its activity, involving the creation of new products, processes and services of strategic interest for the sectors involved. At the same time, the intention is to allow to promote a new model of economic growth based on renewable energy sources and energy efficiency, as well as to contribute to the supply of energy with renewable sources, following the Spanish and European priorities (H2020) and compensating the commercial balance.

The consortium of this project gathers the following companies that possess a high technical and technological capacity to deal with the tasks with all the guarantees: GHENOVA, INDUSTRIAS FERRI, VICUSdt, BALIÑO and KALEIDO.

MACROESCANER2015

KALEIDO SUPPORTS THE INNOVATION IN THE SECURITY OF THE INTERNATIONAL TRAFFIC OF GOODS

THROUGH THE DEVELOPMENT OF AN INDUSTRIAL INSPECTION SYSTEM FOR THE DETECTION OF ILLEGAL TRAFFIC OF NUCLEAR MATERIAL

The project MACROESCANER2015 (Industrial muon tomography system of and cosmic x-rays multivariate radiography for the detection of illegal traffic of special radioactive material - ITC‐20151243) aims the development of an industrial inspection modular system, that uses cosmic x-rays as the radiation source. The commercial orientation efforts of this project are focused to the detection of special nuclear material in vehicles and especially in containers: what is a problem of huge international interest, as it is, for example, one of the priority topics within the Horizon2020 program. The project will develop several working hypothesis looking for the most industrialisable option. Even if the different variants will be based in the same technologies and will use a similar operation principle, they will vary in the type of configuration, morphology, and the processing of the data. The techniques used within this project are framed into Muon Tomography Systems and Cosmic X-Rays multivariable Radiography.

The project is carried on by a consortium of companies that covers the total value chain, gathering all necessary knowledge in order to reach the proposed objectives. These  companies are: VGSC, DIGAFER and HIDRONAV.

ROBLE

KALEIDO TOWARDS THE INDUSTRY 4.0: ROBOTICS APPLIED TO LOGISTICS

APPLYING ROBOTIC SOLUTIONS TO WAREHOUSE LOGISTICS

The ROBLE project (multi-robot control architecture for scalable and flexible logistics applications -ITC-20151214), works in the development of automated logistics systems, highly flexible and scalable, that combine the integration of commercial robotic platforms with the use of a multi-robot and multi-user control architecture, navigation based on natural markings, routing and tasks planning systems, 3D vision and robot-robot cooperation.

ROBLE proposes the implementation of an integral solution for the creation of robotic logistic applications based on the development of a multi-robot and multi-user architecture integrated with the management system, focused on two high impact applications:

- Flexible storage (Warehousing).
- Intralogistics of the production plants (intralogistics).

The project is developed by a consortium of companies that covers the entire value chain and brings the necessary knowledge to achieve the proposed objectives. The aforementioned consortium is made up by GALMAN, IMATIA, VGSC, DGH, KSCM and FAURECIA.

NET

KALEIDO, AN ACTIVE PART OF THE NET PROJECT, WHICH SEEKS THE REDUCTION OF COSTS IN THE WIND SUPPLY CHAIN

THROUGH ITS COLLABORATION ON THE NET PROJECT, DEVELOPING A COMPLETE RANGE OF TOOLS FOR HANDLING AND TRANSPORT

The NET project "New Eolic Tools" develops a complete range of efficient tools that improve the supply chain for wind components (Onshore and Offshore), and aims to reduce the costs of logistics projects related to the wind industry through the standardization of the operations.

Kaleido, Ideas & Logistics that is currently participating also in the European project LEANWIND for the reduction of costs associated with wind projects, provides the necessary knowledge on logistics operations and development of tools.

The project "Development of new products range of handling and transport of wind turbine components (Offshore and Onshore). Net Project (New Eolic tools)" is supported by the Galician Innovation Agency (GAIN) and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Framework Programm FEDER Galicia 2007-2013, with a budget of 347.080 €, of which 71.643,76€ were aimed to Vasco Gallega Sociedad de Cartera and 88.738,37€ to Kaleido Logistics.

SIGSOL

KALEIDO STRENGTHENS ITS COMMITMENT FOR A MORE SUSTAINABLE LOGISTICS

Through its collaboration in the SIGSOL Project, which defines and validates an indicator of sustainability in logistics activities

The SIGSOL project aims is the definition and validation of an intelligent system "Smart and Green Solutions", which is based on a sustainability indicator and will reflect the life cycle of logistics activities.

This indicator is based on four factors: economic, environmental, seasonal and energy. Modeling and optimization of these factors will enable the planning of an optimum transport chain based on the particular interests of each client.

SIGSOL will allow to offer ad hoc solutions which will highlight the environmental impact associated to each logistics project, including also actions for compensation of environmental impacts (passive and active). In conclusion it will allow to obtain a minimization of environmental burdens and a greater sustainability of the overall logistics process.

The project "Development of intelligent solutions for Green Logistics. Sigsol Project" is supported by the Galician Innovation Agency (GAIN) and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Framework Programm FEDER Galicia 2007-2013,  with a budget of 350.294 €, of which 98.263,12€ were aimed to Vasco Gallega Sociedad de Cartera and 72.689,6€ to Kaleido Logistics.

SHERPA

KALEIDO CONTINUES ITS COMMITMENT TO INNOVATION PARTICIPATING IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF AN AUTONOMOUS MOBILE PLATFORM

SheRPA Project develops an autonomus system for pallet handling

The scope of the project is to develop an autonomous mobile platform in order to execute logistics operations in the warehouse, initially for its application in the automotive sector, but with high prospects to be applied in other industries or production processes.

To develop this innovative system, new technologies developed in the field of Robotics for the control of the mobile platform will be applied, as well as the inclusion of communication technologies to integrate in a vertically way the physical management of the warehouse with the overall management system, facilitating the handling of products and improving the global traceability of the goods.

The project "Robotic and autonomus system for independent transport of pallets, Sherpa Project"  is supported by the Galician Innovation Agency (GAIN) and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Framework Programm FEDER Galicia 2007-2013 , with a budget of 467.876,5 €, of which 74.862,63€ were aimed to Vasco Gallega Sociedad de Cartera and 53.394,67 € to Kaleido SCM.
